Specially altered (made a lot deeper) 3/4" drive high quality socket for nut on diff output stub shafts as fitted to DBS6, DBS V8, AM V8 (to 88), DB7, XJ6, XJS, E Type, TVR & other cars that use the 4HA & 4HU independent units.
Essential for changing output shaft bearings & seals.
Not cheap but they work well, better than using a chisel & ruining the nut.
Note - we use solid spacers for the bearings instead of the 'crush' spacer on the twin taper roller bearing type shafts / housings, we then grind the spacer to the correct thickness,
They shouldn't have any play but in fact have a small amount of pre-load which stops the seals & bearings failing, would you believe.
We also have the large die for repairing the threads on the shafts - we charge a small amount for cleaning up the threads.
For advice on how to fits seals, etc. the diff is similar to Astons aswell.
