New DB2 & DB2/4 MkI thermostat housing without threaded temperature take off as original, I use this part number as the DB2 & DB2/4 MkII /DB MkIII use the same number

Note: although we manufacture & sell the original Housing, we advise the use of the later DB2/4 MkII & DB MkIII housing with the threaded temperature take off, as shown, this can be used on earlier DB2 & 2/4 models with the threaded male / male adaptor - this is because the temp gauge capillary / take off is best fitted on the engine before the thermostat as AML realised with the MkII, see below.

This pattern was drawn out from new original thermostat housing, takes original brass thermostat without modification, takes our new thermostat adaptor (replaces NLA brass thermostat & uses Jaguar stat)

This new casting comes with the 6 studs required. Polished as original, can be supplied in 'as cast' for Race / Rally cars - shown in photos with 'pigs snout'

On earlier DB2 & 2/4's - Its too late if the radiator is reading over 100°c, this may result in a cracked head at worst or a head gasket !

The brass adaptor to fit the Temperature gauge bulb is sold as a seperate item.
