Dunlop Handbrake lever pre tension spring kit for DB4, XK 150, Rover & others using Dunlop Mk1handbrake assembly. 

This spring fits on the inner lever & pretensions the square spring retaining nut, the nut & spring fit under the spring  plate, if this spring is U/S the handbrake caliper lever (also fitted to the inner lever) wont return.

NOTE - this is not the long spring (fitted on the adjuster screw / bolt) between the inner & outer lever which isn't shown in our diagram either, this spring is not always used as there is the sprung Retraction Plate fitted which pushes the levers apart.

this comes as a kit with 2 rivets, the spring plate & the spring, there are instructions included to set the long screw & the handbrake up correctly. 2 kits per car.

Shown are the very early handbrake which may have been used on DB4 series 1 cars, and above the later handbrake which is fitted to later DB4's

This spring is fitted to Dunlop Handbrake assembly Mk 1 with manual adjustment - as fitted to certain Jaguars, Rovers, Jensen, etc. You can tell by the split pin in the outer caliper half.
