50097RP reinforcing plate for fragile Lucas / Smiths sender units fitted to fuel tanks & sump oil level senders, had these made some years ago as we found fuel & oil leaks occurred even after fitting a new gasket & noticed the sender unit mounting face had deformed.
This fits on the outside with 6 longer screws, no dismantling of the sender unit necesary.
there appears to be 2 different types of sender unit that plate styles A & B fit, so order whichever one you can see will fit
