Description

Connecting rods for DB2 to Mkiii, these are Four Ashes branded, made for us by one of the worlds  leading manufacturer to our design, they are better than the rods we used to get from Carrillo or Farndon (we had a recent failure caused by Farndon rods) as they have several improved features including less weight than both of those makes or the original Factory ones originally fitted.

In Stock & Available for:

DB2 2.6ltr, this rod fits down a 78mm bore, this design required very special bolts to make it, direct replacement for STD O/E rod which is also lighter than the O/E rod, this rod will be available in a long rod / short piston version in 2012.

DB2/4 & MkIII 2.9ltr or 3ltr as its often called, direct replacement for STD rod using STD piston length, lighter than O/E,

The 3ltr rod is also available in a long rod version for use with a short high compression ratio 83mm bore piston which gives a better rod to stroke ratio & gives more torque.

Another rod version is available for use with Alperform race crankshaft with 2 different lengths, STD & long rod, used with correct engine build spec, 2,6 or 3ltr.

Rods which can be suppkied but not stock are

DB4 / 5 / 6 rods in STD length & long rod version, pistons will be available shortly

AM & DBS V8 as direct replacement rods.

NOTE:    It has come to our attention that connecting rods that look similar to the H beam rods that reputable Aston Martin Specialists sell are now being made (in China maybe ?), sadly the quality isn't there. these rods are being sold by some rogue so called 'Aston Martin' specialists.

When buying your connecting rods enquire who makes them & where they are made, get a 'certificate of conformity' or 'quality certicate' !

Don't let these idiots ruin your car & our (good AML specialists) reputation as if they fail they will scythe the engine in halve at worst or wreck the crank at best !!!!!   See top photo, thats an original DB2/4 3ltr connecting rods.
